Steel Frame Warehouse
After forming partnerships of two, each group was assigned a lot unique in size, shape and setback restrictions. The development of a Site Plan Analysis and an accompanying Feasibility Study was the first step required for this project. With a maximized building footprint in mind, zoning bylaws were reviewed and applied to the proposal we developed. Our proposal, with the Study, was then presented to the municipal building department for approval. With the Department’s consent, Preliminary Construction Drawings (based on the client’s requirements and our proposed sketches) were generated to construct a steel frame warehouse, with a combination of glazed, engineered aluminum and engineered precast concrete panel curtain wall systems. These drawings contained structural and zoning information, and were appropriated dimensioned. After receiving feedback on the Preliminary Drawings, the Final Construction Drawings were produced, and included plans, elevations, cross sections, multiple details of both plans and sections, as well as plans for all main office, warehouse and staff areas.
